This photograph was taken at alan home studio. He’s a visal artist/photographer/painter/mosaic master/ on and on… I was lucky to stay at his home in Toronto while I assisted photoshoots and worked on personal projects. Alan is 70 years old and will never EVER act like an old man. One night we watched movies including “Europa” and pink floyd’s “the wall” until 4am and i was in complete disbelief that he actually stayed up longer than i did! (oh and by the way, his art work is INCREDIBLE, but he will never show it to anyone because he does it for himself, amazing.

This is a photograph of my friend Bob Boisvert. He was the most dedicated photography teacher i’ve ever had. I owe much of what I know now to him. The ambition Bob has for showing new things is unlike anything ive ever seen. He is also my best friends dad, haha.

Thanks for being awesome bob.

This is a photograph of my mother. her expression here is almost exactly how she is in person: she’s clear and honest, strong and glowing. I owe many many many thanks to her. she showed me more about the world than any school or book could. Thanks a million.

thea is a girl i met in the early nineties, we hung out a lot. i loved and hated her at many points in our lives. I’m so proud of what she is doing in her life and in the lives of others right now. she is also my sister! ha 

-bretton-

Bretton is someone i met when surfing in the dominican republic. He is originally from chicago, worked as crew on a boat, and ended up anchoring in the village where we were staying. i was really lucky to have met him, we hung out for a whole day and just enjoyed the sun, drank coffee, and talked about our lives.

-ROCIO-

Rocio is a girl i met when i was in the dominican republic with my friend irene and alisa. it took about 3 minutes and we were instantly friends, if you look closely you can almost see how cool she is just by imagining yourself there, on a rock, in this laguna.

-Annaise (MIM)-

This set of photos is from a shoot we did this week with annaise, it was really great. A fellow photographer and good friend, Gabryela, worked with annaise on the styling and location scouting. this orange wall is incredible, thanks to the crew this day became the most productive and fun days in a while.
